Neighborhood Watch
There are currently eighteen (18) members in our Neighborhood Watch. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. in the Oaks IV Screen Room with a deputy from the Sheriff's office.
Discussions at these meetings include reports from the deputy about any activity in geographic proximity to Oaks IV. Of course, there is also meaningful dialogue among all the members about the proper and appropriate methods and techniques of Neighborhood Watch.
New members are always welcome (new attendees are not obligated to join). While on watch, all walks are done in pairs, and there is no set time of day or set day of the week.
We have been experiencing some criminal activity:Stolen bikes, gate lock tampering, fence cutting and a report of unwanted visitors in the late night hours. Please make sure you lock your cars and if using the back gates double checking to make sure the lock is secure. To deter this type of activity, we are increasing our night patrols and have installed motion lights at both gates.
For a list of current members, please call the Oaks IV office.
